Like KoL set in Victorian London and everything's being stolen?

Web-based RPGs similar to Kingdom of Loathing?
My housemates and I have recently gotten rather enamoured with KoL, and a number of people were suggesting what they called a similar game, but better, possibly set in Victorian London? And maybe something about something being stolen? In case it isn't obvious, there are some details missing due to the location in which the conversations were taking place - the pub.
Any other recommendations for similar games are also welcome, of course.
