A better way to take notes
February 18, 2010 12:43 PM   Subscribe

I want a software program that will mimic the recording function of the Livescribe pen, but for typing rather than note-taking

My Google skills are failing me here. I'm looking for a program that will allow me to take notes while recording audio, and then go back and replay what was being said, when I wrote down specific words.

The Livescribe pen does this, but I type faster than I wrote, so I'm looking for something that will work on my Mac.

Anybody have any solutions?

OneNote can do this.

Response by poster: Thanks for the OneNote suggestion, but do you know of any programs that run on a Mac?

Best answer: I haven't used it, but I think Pear Note does what you want.

Response by poster: Pear Note does indeed look like exactly what I need. I knew this must exist somewhere...

Thanks!
