Help me save my tea tumbler!

I bought two Tevana Tea Rhapsody Glass Tea Tumblers last week and have been merrily using them. Anyway this morning I popped them out of the dishwasher and filled them up, only to have one of the lids get stuck on. Stuck such that neither me or my boyfriend can wrench it off! In retrospect I discovered you are not actually suppose to put the lids in the dishwasher, thanks packaging instructions for not making that more explicit.

Now normally I would employ some manual force but the tumbler itself is made of glass, so that prohibits the force I can actually use. Comparing the two tumblers together, the stuck one's lid is slightly raised and off balance. Likely there is something funky with the threading, hence the stuckness. It is also 3/4 full of tea, which drips slightly when upturned, further proof that the threading is off. I've tried WD-40, and castor oil to try to lubricate it, but to no avail. Is there any other suggestions from the hivemind that I can try, before I give up on the damn thing!

Perhaps putting it in the freezer to see if the glass can be made to contract somewhat? It would probably be best to try to dump the tea first. I also find that using a rubber band or rubber kitchen glove is essential when trying to remove a stuck lid/top.

Run hot water on the lid. It should expand a little bit.

Thirding heat/cool. You might try putting the thing in the freezer then running really hot (boiling?) water over only the lid to maximize your expansion/contraction.

Fourthing getting the glass cold and the metal lid hot.

Too much of a disparity might shatter the glass (I don't know the exact materials), so I'd try just hot running water over the metal lid first, then move on to more drastic measures like resting the whole thing in the freezer or a bowl of ice water for 10 minutes and repeating the hot water treatment.
