Help me remember the name of this 1970's (I believe) French comedy.

What I remember:

The plot had something to do with a man who had quite a bit of expensive art (paintings, sculptures, etc) and furniture, but did not declare it to the government around tax time. He is then audited, and has to hide all of his expensive things.

Perhaps the word "dinner" was in the title.

Best answer: Le dîner de cons? It's not remotely 1970s, but it seems to match up pretty well.

Yes, Le dîner de cons, which I own. Definitely.

Response by poster: Yep that's the one. I don't know why I thought it was made in the 1970s. Thanks!

Best answer: We were shown a subtitled version of this in a French class a few years ago. I was very surprised to see that it was a 1998 film; it definitely has the feel of an earlier film.
