I'd build a time machine.

Well, one thing I'd do is avoid ChatFilter.

Flagged.

Buy all of the many books that have been written about it and start from there instead of AskMetafilter.

Lee Harvey Oswald did it.

No charge.

Unlimited resources? Feed the world, house the world, then build the time machine.

I'd spend $32 on this book and $12 on this one and invest the rest in mutual funds.

There's no amount of money that can "solve" a case that has already been solved. There are some minor unresolved details about the circumstances surrounding the case, such as which agencies were controlling some of the anti- and pro-Castro groups in Dallas, but more money won't help -- you need the FBI, CIA and Russian agencies to open their files.

It's been solved, sorry to break it to you Mr. Grayson

Before the mods close this up, not everyone shares this consensus and lots people lazily attribute further inquiry to tin-hat conspiracy theory quackery rather than doing their own research.

Yeah, you'd need to define "solved".

A whole lot of folks think there's more to it than the official story, sure, and at least some of them are probably right in at least some ways... but short of a time machine in either direction (aren't some of the records still sealed?) it's a bit difficult to do anything now that it's way back in history, sorry.

Will next week's question be about 9/11? I could copy-paste.

J. Edgar Hoover had JFK assassinated because his extramarital relationships (see Marilyn Monroe) were security risks. Next!

The Guilty Man: A Historical Review", the panel agreed that the documentary was not credible and should not have aired. The History Channel issued a statement saying, in part, "The History Channel recognizes that 'The Guilty Men' failed to offer viewers context and perspective, and fell short of the high standards that the network sets for itself.

? Do you mean that there are other competing conspiracies, or that this doc series is an example of good research?

Perhaps OP means how to resolve the many questions and details of the event that are still not fully understood?

Not sure why all the piling on.

Given unlimited resources, I'd offer unlimited rewards to anyone who could provide any kind of evidence advancing any theory concerning the assassination, and I'd give every American adult a very lucrative full-time job sifting through the evidence. Hell, given unlimited resources, I'd bring Kennedy back from the dead, kill him myself, and call it solved.
