MeFi Etiquette: Is it OK to submit a main page link that's been translated with Google translate?

I've been holding on to this link for some time now and today I found a news article I can tie in with it - all in all, I think it will make a good MeFi front page post. However, my original link is in a different language, and Google translate isn't able to translate all the headers needed for navigation (as some of them are jpegs with text - ugh).

The webpage I'll be linking to is mostly photographs, so navigation there is pretty intuitive. Still, I'm not sure posting something of this sort would be a good idea in the first place.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Yep, all questions about the site etc. go to Metatalk. -- cortex

Best answer: I think you might want to ask this in MetaTalk, since it's sort of a site policy / etiquette question.

This isn't the place to ask that. Also: no.

I'd be wary of using Google Translate too heavily. It can be excellent for individual words but as soon as you get into sentences it can easily mistranslate or just muddle the original phrase, which is the same with all online translation tools, in my opinion. No computer can be as good as a human, given the nuances and contextual problems with languages.
