Asking for a friend: She's looking for a movie from the 90's.
"What's that movie with the Hispanic boy and girl who fall in love against her father's will and she teaches him to read and he has a ponytail and works as a mechanic and her father brought the family into America illegally? It's from the 90's or so, and it's bugging the crap out of me. HELP!"
