What's a nice font that's comparable to Myriad Pro Condensed?

For the site I'm designing, the client's logo (an illustration) is fairly close to Myriad Pro and overall the site is pretty Apple-y. Using Myriad in this context is just going to look excessively Apple-y.

I would love a recommendation for another quality sans-serif font that looks good bold and condensed. I've tried Frutiger and that's pretty decent, just wondering if there's anything else you'd suggest - thanks!

I find the recommendations on MyFonts.com to be good. I just looked up Myriad Pro Condensed, and when I found that font, they had suggestions of similar ones in the right column.

Best answer: What fortuitous timing! I did some digging for this for a website that's also going to be very Apple-y, but without going so far as to use Myriad. So I did my own font research. Here's a list I came up with.

AauxNext
Archer
Bree
Eksja
FF Din
Foco
Gotham
Le Havre Rounded
Lexia
Milo
Museo
Netto
Soho Gothic
Tailor
Terfens
Tungsten
TheSans
Unit Rounded
Vekta Sans
Whitney
Whitney Condensed

I came to this list after going through tons of fonts. So it obviously reflects my personal preferences, but . . . hey, it's a great start.

FWIW I was looking for fonts similar to Myriad Pro Cond recently for a somewhat similar reason & the closest I found for my purposes is TW Cen MT Condensed (more info from MS).

Unfortunately the size & spacing is quite different from Myriad Pro Cond but once you have adjusted for that (larger font size but then smaller vertical distance between lines to compensate) it's fairly similar.

Response by poster: Thanks guys. CommonSense, that is great (& ironic) timing. Really liking the suggestions of Globale, TheSans and Whitney. Any other ideas are welcome!

Best answer: Nice suggestions from CommonSense that are a little further afield. Here's some stuff that is more directly related to Myriad:

FF Transit
Vialog
Slate

All these typefaces and nobody's mentioned the classic?

Frutiger.

Oh wow, that'll teach me to read the ENTIRE question.

How about Gravur Condensed or Brauer Neue from Lineto? They look nice in a bold weight and the vibe is pretty far from Apple.
