I HAVE A VIRUS ON MY TOUGHBOOK BUT I'M AFRAID TO GET RID OF IT

IM PRETTY SURE I HAVE A VIRUS BUT EVERYTHING LOOKS SO COOL ON VLC THOUGH!

i have a panasonic toughbook cf-52 and somehow when put a movie on VLC, it starts playing on my literal desktop! i'm pretty damn sure this is from a virus and don't want to get rid of the virus because i'm afraid that it might get rid of this sweet as feature. what do i do? thanks yalls.

Lucky for you, this isn't a virus.

It's a feature of VLC Media Player.

I seriously doubt that's a virus. Which virus do you think it is? I can't find any mention of a virus with that "feature".

But VLC has it as a built-in feature. Here's how to activate it.

Viruses generally don't make your computer have weird features or behave strangely. These days they usually try to be as unnoticeable as they can, so they can send data back to the authors, or let your system be used as a server for nefarious deeds.
