Where can I bulk buy ethernet cable in Toronto?

TorontoFilter: where can I bulk buy a bunch of premade cat5e and cat6 ethernet cables downtown?

I am moving a business unit to a new office on Friday, but my shipment from my regular supplier was delayed and now I am pretty screwed. Does anyone know a place in the downtown area where I could go and bulk buy about a hundred or so ethernet cables of varying lengths for a reasonable price? I'm close to Active Surplus, but I don't think they will have the quantities (or selection) that I need.

Best answer: Lextec is in Markham (who isn't?) but will definitely give you a decent bulk price on a hundred patch cables, and courier them to wherever you are.

They came through for me once when I needed a whole lot of cables for a trade show after a crate vanished in transit.

You should be able to find what you need on the College St strip of computer stores. College st west of spadina all the way to Augusta has many stores. Probably Canada Computers is your best bet.

Seconding the College St strip. Factory Direct has super-cheap stuff (a lot of junk tho) and it may have cables. If not, Canada Computers is a good bet. One of those stores will have 'em.

Response by poster: Thanks for the recommendations guys, I was able to get a pretty okay deal from Lextec (actually more accurately from their partner Access8, but close enough) and they can do same day shipping for a reasonable price as well. Really great customer service, they handled my repeated phone calls and increasingly frantic, increasingly unreasonable demands with politeness and aplomb. Definitely recommend them to anyone who finds this thread, really saved my bacon today.

Response by poster: Also thanks guys for the CC recommendation. I go there all the time, but I didn't realize that they carried bulk cat5e until today, and I needed some more of that too anyway.
