What, like a boat? I suppose I'd go fishing. Or are you talking about an amphibious vehicle, like these ducks? I suppose I'd still go fishing.

I'd volunteer to drive for my carpool, and then take the shortcut through the lake.

I would use it to ship massive freights of cargo (or, depending on the ship, maybe oil) between continents.

Best answer: Put wheels on some waterskis to tow behind it. Or more likely just ski behind it in the usual fashion.

Sell it and use all the money to buy lead and then fashion the lead into a perfect cube

If it was like a car-boat? I'd use it to avoid paying tolls to cross bridges.

You know what'd be amazing? A drive-in theater in the middle of the ocean.

I'd have a monster truck that could drive on water and crush smaller trucks that also drive on water.

Response by poster: nice. grazy lake. that's an image.
I think the close one would get to the big big question the more it would recede.
love the idea of waterskis. and toll avoidance. I am thinking more stunt-like, as opposed to perfect cubes.
thanks for the answers - I'm sure there's something else cool and fun to do with it.

Beside drive, I don't think you could do anything that a boat couldn't do.

Piracy.
Ferrying supplies to my Secret Island Lair.
You know, the thought occurs that such a vehicle, were it of the ATV variety, might actually come in handy if one were in the business of fish-farming. Probably hafta deal with all sorts of middle-of-the-pond problems, and an amphibious vehicle would help with that.
