Oh, Inverted World! Where did your pages go (help me find them)?

I found a battered first edition paperback of Christopher Priest's novel 'The Inverted World' at a charity book stall last week, and so far it's been a very enjoyable read. I almost don't want to get to the end and find out what the heck is going on.

Imagine my horror, then, on finding (or rather not finding) two missing pages at the end of Part One of the book!

If you own this book, and could give me a quick summary of the last 3 or 4 pages of Part One of the book, that would be really grand.

Response by poster: I'm afraid that didn't do it. I couldn't access any content from Google Books, and some pages in a PDF limon sent me weren't the right ones (thanks for trying though).

So hopefully someone else may have the book?

Best answer: I have the NYRB edition at home, and can type the missing pages up for you, but you'll have to wait 'till this evening...

Response by poster: escabeche, I found the book as a torrent somewhere. I know, a bit naughty, but since I owned the book... etc.

Incidentally, it's well worth reading if you're a fan of older science fiction. Not at all like The Prestige or any of his more recent works.
