Records of First Snowfall

Where can I find records of the date of the first snowfall in an area? I'm looking for Hanover, NH, but a tool to find first snow fall dates and records for any area is what I'd really like to find.

I recommend contacting the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). I periodically use their services and they are very, very helpful.

Before contacting NCDC try the New Hampshire State Climate Office.

You can also try Wunderground, and click the "Weather History for this Location" link (on the left side of the page, just below the words Source for Current Conditions.
Then you have a choice of Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or "custom".
