NYC broadway birthday brunch on short notice

Looking for a good place to have a birthday brunch for my mom in midtown manhattan before a matinee at 3. There's six of us and we're leaving in an hour or so.

Brasserie on 53rd Street has a great brunch but you probably left already.

Maison at 53rd and 7th Ave is really nice.

If you want something, er, different - old timey, New York-y and quirky, - Cafe Edison at 228 W 47th St would fit the bill.

I like Rachel's on Ninth between 43rd and 44th. However, there is often a wait for brunch.
