Anyone know what hip-hop song sampled from Henry Mancini's score for the Pink Panther? Not the main sax theme, but a recurring vibraphone-type riff...

Afrika Bambaataa used to sample The Pink Panther Theme in one of their songs...but I don't recall which one. Hope this helps.

Best answer: no help on this question specifically, but this site is really good for this type of stuff.

Response by poster: More info:
It's the song "It Had Better Be Tonight" (listen here)

The question is for a friend who had first told me there were no vocals, just a recurring instrumental theme....

Best answer: "It Had Better Be Tonight" is correct - one of Mancini's finest. Here's a short instrumental clip, with the vibraphone lick.
