What was the name of this video game?

Help me remember the name of this PC video game...

I played this game in late 90s I think. It was sort of a FPS. You played as a weird little creature that had kind of flying squirrel arm-wings you could snap out and use to glide for long distances. You couldn't actually fly. I recall a lot of the scenery being very shiny-surreal-inside an alien world-ish.

I think it had a one word name. One word with three letters maybe. I've been trying to dig this name out of my head or google for a few weeks and I can't come up with it. Any ideas?

MDK I believe is what you are thinking of.

You weren't a squirrel but a guy in a weird suit.

Developed by Shiny Entertainment, even. The developers left after MDK and founded Planet Moon Studios, which produced a few more equally weird & great games for the PC before they started doing more pedestrian stuff for PSP:s and such.

The weird creature's name is Kurt, btw. Kurt Hectic.

The sequel was pretty great too. You could play as a cigar-chomping, Rambo-esque dog with six legs, four of which held guns. Or as a mad scientist, improvising crazy weapons out of random stuff like MacGuyver on crack.

I got this it's MDK-- aw, way too late. Sequel's even better, and not just for the "yay-Canada!" thrill I got when the game starts with an attack on Edmonton.

Such a great game. Getting mooned by an alien baddie who thought it was a safe distance away is one of my favorite video game experiences.

MDK2 really was seriously great. Try to find it if you've never played it.
