I've been thinking about updating a site I built that keeps a log of songs different radio stations are playing. To help me update it, please tell me what your favourite major or national level radio station is. Bonus marks if you know they release their "recently played" list as an rss feed.

For the UKers out there, 'major/national' would mean things like BBC, Absolute, and various major DAB broadcasters. I'm not meaning people like Hertbeat whose transmitter is powered by AA batteries.

For the rest of the world - well, frankly I have no idea what stations are major and what aren't, so anything is welcome - especially if they broadcast on the internet as well...

( All comers welcome. At the moment it's only tracking BBC1, 2 & 6, Chill, the Absolute stations and NME. )

First off, I'm loving the Hertbeat FM reference (I live in 'Hertbeat country' as they insist on calling Hertfordshire).

Are we limiting this to songs, or can we have music in general? If the latter then may I suggest Classic FM? They don't have an rss feed for their playlist as far as I know but the website has what's currently playing at the top of the homepage.

Well, US-listener here. And while my favorite radio station isn't even remotely close to being "huge" - it does have an amazing website that you can see most played songs of the past four years as well as complete playlists for all songs for any day, including a searchable database! Good luck with your project!
