The Gathering Storm: Midnight Release?

Where can I find a midnight release of the new Wheel of Time book, The Gathering Storm in Boston, MA?

The Gathering Storm comes out October 27th. Since the Wheel of Time series are fairly popular books, I'd like to think that some place in Boston is going to have a midnight release so that I can buy it at midnight and read all night. Does anyone know a place that specifically is having a midnight release for this book, or have had midnight releases for other popular books (like Harry Potter)?

Some Barnes and Nobles did it for Stephanie Meyer.

Sanderson says he'll be at the Harvard Co-op Bookstore 11/5 if the idea of going to an event for it is more important than just the getting it as soon as possible.

A scan through Barnes & Noble and Borders' local store sites turns up nothing. Looks like you're out of luck unless a smaller retailer or indie store does it. (Although a search of indie and sci-fi/fantasy stores in the Boston area also turned up nothing. As did an event search on Facebook.)

The book tour does have representatives ("Storm Leaders") at every tour stop. Your best bet is to ask them if there's a midnight release (here's the Facebook page for the Boston ones) or if they'd be willing to set one up with a local store.

You could trying calling Pandemonium. If they weren't doing it, they would probably know who was. Failing that, someone at mitsfs might know.

The Harvard Coop (actually a Barnes and Nobles) had midnight releases for most of the Potter books. I went to one of them (actually, I wandered in drunk of the street, but let's not dwell on my possible arrest record) and it was pretty enthusiastically staffed. I don't see an event scheduled on their calendar, though, so you may want to call and touch base.

Porter Square Books does not have an event on their calendar either, but have done midnight releases in that past. Sometimes it's just a manager who stays late to sell books to eager patrons.
