Give Me Anime-Induced Nightmares Again

Help me identify a anime from my childhood about a superhero alien with boob death lasers.
Everyone had 'that' childhood friend whose mom let him get away with everything. In my case, I went over to his house, stayed up crazy late, ate ice cream, and watched a truly fucked up anime series. I couldn't sleep that night. Help me reproduce this memory.
All I remember is a vague plot. The main character is a normal dude who goes to school. He encounters the crash landing of a mysterious object, which turns out to be a tentacle monster. It attacks him, and somehow he turns into an alien with super powers. He fights crime and monsters and stuff. His coup de grace in every episode is his chest (which my friend and I endearingly called 'boob missiles'), which opens up where boobs normally go to fire death lasers.
God, I love Japan. I have to see this again!
