Chengdu Building Query: "crystal palace, south of the centre, near the third ring road"?

My boss is asking me to find out what a building is. It is in Chengdu, PRC. He described it as a "crystal palace, south of the centre, near the third ring road, and covered in lattice". I think he saw it on the way to the airport. I have tried my best.

If you go to google maps and look up "chengdu airport express way," it took me right to the intersection with the third ring road.

There are a couple structures that could be what he is describing around there, but without more detail it is impossible to tell. Did it look like a pyramid?
