Are there any places in the United States offering a glove cutter or glove maker apprenticeship? I'm interested in fabric and leather work for gloves.

You might want to check with FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC, If I recall correctly, they had a glove making course or two there and may be able to point you in the right direction.
Not sure if info is reserved for students, but they are generally pretty helpful if you indicate an interest in a specialty that they teach.

Have you seen this website? It's a book from the 1950s.

Look for artists creating gloves in your area, and talk someone into hiring you or letting you volunteer as an apprentice.

The current issue of Threads magazine (November 2009) has an article on gloves. The article doesn't seem to be online, but there are photos. There is one comment that the author of that article, John Koch, will be teaching a class.

You might try asking LaCrasia Gloves, one of the last companies actually making gloves in the U.S.
