Minneapolis restaurant recommendation

Restaurant recommendation for Minneapolis. Must have easy access for someone driving from downtown St. Paul and a menu friendly to a gluten-free, high protein diet. I'm thinking something on Washington Ave? Steakhouse?

Chowhound is where you want to ask this question. You might even get lucky and find it's already been asked by someone else!

Best answer: I always liked Murray's Steakhouse when I lived there: 26 S 6th St, Minneapolis, MN. There are a lot of steakhouses downtown which would probably work. For something swankier, maybe Cue at the Guthrie Theatre or Spoonriver across the street?

Saji-Ya is Japanese and in St. Paul but easy to get to from DT St. Paul and little or no gluten and lots of awesome sushi, teriyaki, etc.

It is gluten free pizza night at Pizza Luce in downtown Minneapolis. So you can be gluten free all you want with pasta dishes and of course, pizza.

Response by poster: We did Murrays. I've always wanted to go there and it did not disappoint :-)

Pizza Luce is also a fav. We'll do that one next time I'm in town.

Thanks for all of the recommendations.
