Free Early NY decisions

Free source for older New York Court of Appeals opinions (PDF OK).

I want to read decisions written by Benjamin Cardozo while he was on the New York Court of Appeals (New York's highest court). I know they're available on Lexis or Westlaw, but these are VERY expensive. My Google-fu has failed me for a free source (electronic, OCR or PDF) for these.

You can try freeing us from lexis. Do you have any particular opinions in mind? I can dig through my archives and send you some, if I've got any handy.

Oh, also searching on "Cardozo delivered the opinion" pulls up some cases.

If you are located in New York, visit one of the Unified Court System law libraries. Although borrowing privileges are limited to members of the bench and bar, the libraries are open to the public and offer free Lexis and Westlaw access. Click here for basic info.
