Ray Bans Warranty

Have any of you sent off a pair of ray bans to be fixed via warranty w/ out receipt?

Last christmas my friends gave me an awesome pair of ray ban wayfarers as a gift and I've enjoyed them ever since. Recently however, one of the "Ray Bans" logos has become loose on one of the arms. Its not too big of a deal right now but it really bugs me to know that it could eventually fall off.

I do not have the original receipt but I know they are still in warranty. Have any of you guys dealt with this situation and if so, how did it work out? Should I try sending them in anyways?

Is there a serial number on them anywhere? They may be able to track their sale date through the serial number. If it is just the logo getting loose, why not fix it before it falls off with a little glue or a trip to a local eyeglass store?

From Ray-Ban.com "If you have any questions, please call our toll–free number: 1–800–343–5594"

When in doubt call customer service. They may have other ways of verifying your warranty.

You could offer charge reciepts, contacting the store for a receipt reprint, or possibly just the model number of your sunglasses may suffice...

I had a pair replaced by mail without a receipt, but that was in the 90's.

I had a similar experience as rokusan - twice in fact! I was told that if they were 'real' Ray-Bans and not a knockoff when they received them, they would fix them, no matter what, but that was in the late 80's and early 90's - long before the sale to Luxottica. Give them a call, and see what happens.
