Vietnamese TV, anyone?

Does anyone watch Vietnamese TV here?
hey guys, I'm a student doing my BFA in Creative Producing at Chapman and I'm looking for information on Vietnamese television.
I know this is a bit of a long shot, but would you guys be able to help me out? I need information on the kinds of programmes they show on Vietnamese TV, some of the popular shows, whether programmes are imported, if they're dubbed, etc.
I would be able to do this research myself if not for the fact that most Vietnamese websites are, well, in Vietnamese. So I guess I'm really looking for someone who can speak the language?
Thanks folks! I'd appreciate any help!

My mom also watches a lot of local Vietnamese programming on the 3 local OTA channels. (Socal, Fountain Valley)
The types of shows that i see her watching are: news programming, musical shows (Paris by Night type), some dramas that seem to be imported (from Vietnam or popular Korean dramas dubbed in Vietnamese). There also seems to be this game show that is the Vietnamese version of Family Feud, I'm not sure where this is produced though.

ISTR that one of the Viet stations is out of Garden Grove, and Wikipedia tells me it's the Saigon Broadcasting Television Network. That's not too far out of range for you to call up and request a tour and additional information.

Or you could call up KSCI-18, 310-478- 1818. Their offices are on South Bundy up here in LA proper, and they provide Vietnamese programming, along with a bunch of other programming aimed at Asians and Pacific Islanders in LA.

(In case you didn't notice yet, Google Translate now works in Vietnamese. It's not bad...)

When I am at my mom's house, there seem to be a lot of soap opera type shows on that are dubbed from another language (I'm assuming Chinese). There are also lots of variety programs that involve lots of singing and dancing.
Hope this helps!
