Facebbok crashes on iPhone

The Facebook app on my iPhone has started crashing. Noapparent rhyme or reason. Is this a temporary thing? All updates have been applied to the phone.

I can't tell if this is a problem with the app, the iPhone, AT&T, Facebook, or some motley combination. Ideas?

Just a data point, but I'm unable to access new posts on my iPhone Facebook app and when I try to login via my laptop, I gues a message saying the account is unavailable sue to site maintenance. I suspect they're having technical difficulties.

I've also started having this problem in the last 24 hours or so. I'm also having problems with FB on the laptop (comments not posting, notifications not marking as read, etc.), and I'm not having problems with other parts of the phone, and I haven't changed anything about the FB iPhone app in the last 24 hours, so it looks like FB to me.

Try deleting and resyncing the app.

Works fine on first gen iTouch, with all the updates applied to the app and phone.

I'm getting a "site issue" message right now, from a laptop. Facebook is sick today.

Just doublechecked. Notifications and loading of new posts were working just fine.

The app (on a 1st gen ipod touch) and site on the laptop are both working fine for me. I'm in California, if that makes a difference.

In the year or so I've owned my iPhone 3G... there have been 2 (maybe 3) times when the Facebook app launches but just sits at a black screen (never does anything). The only way I'm able to fix it is to delete the app, reboot the phone.. and reinstall the app. Works every time.

FB app on iPhone has been logging me out, last 24 hours or so. I have to enter my password each time.
