Find the power cord

Does anyone know where to find a power cord replacement for a Technics 1200 mk2 turntable European edition? 220v power cord?

My dog chewed through the cable all the way to the base of the plug so I can't reuse it to do even a quick fix.

Please forgive me the obvious, but why not just cut the cable short and either fit a new plug on it or extend the cable and then plug it? What's 'stopping' the obvious repair? Is it to a power adapter?

Seconding DrtyBlvd. Just buy a new AC plug and attach it to the remains of your power cord.
