What's the best company for t-shirt quilts?

I've got a ton of old t-shirts and zero sewing skills, so I'd like to mail them off and have somebody else do all the heavy lifting in turning them into a quilt. In doing some googling last night, I found a bunch of companies with a wide range of prices. I'm aiming for a full-size/30 t-shirt quilt, and I've seen prices for that size ranging from $295 all the way to $600+. Of course, I want the cheapest price while retaining excellent quality.

Have you used any quilt companies to make a t-shirt quilt? Any recommendations or warnings? What are your thoughts on posting a request on Etsy or Craigslist? Any other resources?

Wow, glad you posted this, I've been looking to do something similar myself for a while now; I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

I've bookmarked a couple of shops on Etsy here and here and here, favoring the third because she has a lot of great feedback. I'd prefer to use Etsy over a company, but that's just my personal preference.

I've ordered from this lady before. She does fantastic work. Give her a ring or e-mail her and talk to her. I bet she'd give you a discount. Here is her t-shirt quilt page.

Hell, I'll do it for $150. Otherwise, Etsy is definitely the place to go for this sort of thing. You could also check out craftster.org and contact someone there.
