how do i get from york university to humber river regional hospital via ttc?

i am the worst person for looking at easy-to-understand ttc maps, and well-intentionedly ending up on the other side of the city.

can anyone tell me the easiest transit route from york university to humber river regional (200 church street location)?

thanks!

MyTTC.ca is good for things like this. They recommend taking the 41 south on Keele to Lawrence, then the 58B west to Jane, and the 35 north on Jane to Church.

Were it me, I'd probably take a Steeles bus Westbound to Jane st, and a Jane bus South. It might not be any faster (though with the Petrolia loop, on the 41, it might be), but it's one less transfer, and that always makes a bus trip feel less like a pain.

You could also take the 106 south as far as Finch, a Finch westbound to Jane and a Jane bus southbound.

If you're easily mobile, your absolute best option, though, is probably just to walk out to either Shoreham & Murray Ross (shorter walk, fewer buses) or Shoreham & Jane (longer walk, more buses) and take a Jane bus straight south. The hospital is a block or so in from Jane, so you're kind of going to have to be pretty mobile regardless of your method.

I would second the Steeles to Jane, and Jane down. The Jane is just as fast as the Keele, and you would lose so much time transferring another time.

In fact, Jane and Steeles is only about a 10-15 minute walk from the campus - if you don't have any mobility issues, it would be fastest for you to walk there and pick up the Jane directly than to wait for the Steeles. You can cut across campus (past the gym, etc, and go just north of Pioneer Village) for most of it, and then there is a fine sidewalk on the south side of Steeles.

jacquilynne's comment seems to imply that the Jane might not go all the way to Steeles (I thought I'd taken it from there once, but the memory is vague) - so I'd follow her directions.

Jane does go all the way to Steeles, yes. But there are about 5 versions of the Jane line that get varyingly close to York Campus. The E comes right onto campus, but only during busy times, and doesn't stop at the stop near the Hospital. The B line comes in to Murray Ross Parkway and loops around a little closer to campus. The other versions of the Jane line just go by on Jane itself.
