Tethering: AT&T goPhone SIM into USBConnect Quicksilver??

Can I put an AT&T goPhone (Pay-as-you-go) SIM into an AT&T USBConnect Quicksilver wireless-modem? Or, will only contract AT&T SIMs work?

I know this is probably a question for AT&T Customer Service or Technical Support.

And what's up with iPhone tethering!??

You can use a pay as you go sim card in an aircard, but at $20 for 100 megs do you really want to?

iPhone tethering will probably be officially available sometime at the same price point that tethering is for all other phones, $60 for 5gigs. Nothing has been said for sure though so that's just speculation.

AT&T is going to charge $60 for tethering?!??! That is ridiculous. You can enable tethering on your iPhone now, by browsing to a particular web site and installing a particular config file. Works well but I'm sure it violates the tos.
