Find a cast list for The Radio City Orchestra

Help me play internet detective...I am trying to find a list of the members of The Radio City Orchestra from around January of 2009.

My co-worker found a micro-SD card on the subway platform and gave it to me since she knows my phone uses that type. I checked out the card and found it loaded with over 150 photos from the previous owner and a good number of them are pictures of the owner’s new baby.

I have been trying to play internet detective, but am coming up short so far. I have a number of first names but nothing really helpful “uncle mike”, “aunt Sarah”, and the baby’s name “Cole”. The best lead from the pictures is that the owner plays the French horn and was “Horn 2” in The Radio City Orchestra. The meta data on the photos was also a wash, just the phone type (A LG)

I had though about trying to call Radio City Music Hall and talking to someone there but I’m just afraid my request will be a bit vague and come off as stalker-ish (“I am looking for the blond woman who played the French horn…No, I don’t know her name but I know she had a baby back at the beginning of the year”.)

I don't really mind investing a little time into this project, because I know if nothing else I would like my photos back if I had lost them.

Any ideas would be welcome, I guess I could throw a few of the picts up on flickr but I already know they live/work in NYC and what not so I don't know how much help that would be.

I think calling the Orchestra is probably the best bet. If you say you found an item belonging to a member, you won't look like a stalker so much as a Good Samaritan.

I would send a note to the orchestra manager saying "I found a photo card that appears to belong to your second French horn player; if you could pass along my contact info to her, I'd be delighted to return it to her if it is indeed hers." Enclosing a photo of the person you believe is the French hornist/owner might also help.

Or you could just send the photo card along and ask the orchestra manager to pass it along. Orchestra managers have been asked for weirder things.

Best answer: I know some people in the band, and was about to offer to connect it for you, but...you know what? Call the orchestra manager ASAP, the horn player will be eternally grateful to have this stuff back, and every minute you wait is a minute of needless anxiety and stress for the guy who lost it. It's not stalkerish at all. Just say "I found something valuable belonging to your second horn player, and I'd like to give it back".

Or, even better, throw it in an envelope with a short note ("I think this belongs to your 2nd horn player") and send to:
Orchestra Manager
Radio City Music Hall
1260 Avenue of the Americas
New York, New York 10020

Really, this is a way to do someone some good really easily. But don't wait!

Response by poster: Thanks for the info jimmyjimjim. I will go the short note/photo route to the Orchestra Manager and see where it goes from there. I would rather hold off on sending the actual card in case the guy has no idea what/who I am talking about.

Yeah, makes sense, I hadn't considered that. Hey, report back to the thread if you remember to, I'm curious as to how it winds up.

Response by poster: Just a follow up for any who are interested:
Today I got a call from the Orchestra Manager at Radio City. With the letter and pictures I sent they were able to find the owner of the card/photos and get in touch with her. He told me she asked if I could just send the memory card to her there at Radio City.

Thanks everyone who gave me a hand in getting the pictures back to their rightful owner!
