How can I add links to Google Map locations?

Basically, I want to take a Google Map of Wyoming, tag certain locations, and add links in those tags that go to material related to the location.

By tag, I mean create those flag thingies that mark different locations when you are trying to make directions to and from different places.

How can I do this?

For quick and easy, you can use this website: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/

Google has a tutorial, that starts on the maps.google.com page. If you're logged into a google/gmail account, click on the My Maps link (in the upper left of the page), and then click on Create New Maps.

If you want to do some coding, you can use this google tutorial: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/articles/yourfirstmap.html
