Why can't I post to Metafilter while at work?

I'm not able to post while at work. Do I need to log out at my home computer first? Also, I can't access MeTa or AskMe. I use same versions of Firefox at both locations, both accept cookies. Thanks.

May I be the first to snark here: This is what Metatalk is for. See the posting page for questions on AskMefi for guidelines in this vein

Make sure it's not MetaFilter, MetaTalk, or Ask MetaFilter related, as those posts would best be posted in MetaTalk than here.

Thank you. Come again.

Want to ask a question to the general MetaFilter population? Go ahead and ask away. Make sure it's not MetaFilter, MetaTalk, or Ask MetaFilter related, as those posts would best be posted in MetaTalk than here.

No.

I can't access MeTa or AskMe.

What exactly do you mean by "can't access"? What happens when you try to go to the site? Are you following a link, typing in the URL, talking to the screen, what?

Well, maybe we can figure this out before you self-immolate.

First, what happens when you try to post on MeFi? And are you trying to post an FPP or a comment?

Second, as xil asked, what exactly happens when you try to access MeTa or AxMe? Do you have problems with other sites?

thx sub. I get an error message if I try to access MetA - can't think of the exact content right now.

I can log in to the blue, but I still get no "big grey box" at the bottom of the thread within which to post. If that makes any sense. And no indication that I have done anything by logging in.

I suppose I need to get more specific tomorrow am before wasting everyone's time here.

More to come on MetA.

Thanks.
