What's on at the fringe

What did you enjoy at the Edinburgh fringe, and in Edinburgh in general, this month?

Heading there next week and was hoping to get some word of mouth recommendation for the fringe and or the book festival. Have done the tattoo and climbed arthur's seat before, and taken a day trip to St Andrews, and walked to Leath... so keep that in mind if you are recommending other activities.

The Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street (5 mins walk from Princes Street) is free and choc full of great displays and exhibits from the distant and not-so distant past. You can access the roof terrace and get a great city vista.
On Saturday afternoon (15th) Hibernian play a home game against St Mirren so go along and check out the current state of Scottish football.
Try a ghost walk at night, there are loads that start from the Royal Mile area and the ones that I've been on have been a hoot.
You can visit the Scottish Parliament and work out where the £440m went - it is a really impressive building inside but the outside is an acquired taste.
Lastly, get on a train to South or North Queensferry and walk under the world famous Forth Bridge - it is without doubt the finest structure of its kind in the world.

The Axis of Awesome are very good if you like musical comedy and one of them is a personal acquaintance of mine.
