Where can I find large, sturdy pillows?

Sturdy pillows for sitting up in bed? My bed lacks a headboard, making reading in bed fairly uncomfortable.

The problem is that it's a platform bed, which means there is a large gap between the mattress and the wall. Sitting up to read is therefore annoying, because my current pillows (standard feather pillows) slide into the gap, essentially leaving me leaning against the bare wall-- not the most comfortable way to read.

I'm thinking a few big sturdy pillows (the sturdiness of sofa throw pillows but much larger) might help fill in the gap and generally help compensate for the absence of headboard.

Any recommendations about where I could find the perfect pillows?

Thanks!

How about a Husband Pillow? That was the first link Google gave me.

I find the husband pillows can fly away, but a mattress wedge, especially one that rises quite high, gives a lot of support, and can be used on top of the mattress instead of below it.

Seconding xingcat - I love, love, love this reading wedge, as I also have a bed with no headboard that tends to swallow pillows

2nd Husband Pillow, and you can get them pretty cheap around this time of year at Target. Big sellers for dorms.

Tj Maxx, Ross, Bed, Bath & Beyond all have tons of pillows. I'd suggest looking through them...

A Crazy Creek stadium chair is self-supporting, even in the middle of a hardwood floor. Or if you have a Thermarest backpacking mattress already, they make a lightweight chair kit for it that accomplishes the same thing and can go with you on your camping trips. Either one should work in bed.

If you want to keep the looks of your bedspread, you probably want a euro sham, they're large and square (26x26) and firm. They're designed to be placed up against the headboard. You should be able to find a euro sham pillowcase to match your current set.
