At least no one will see the socks now that they're bunched up by my toes.

Where can I get "no show" ankle socks that don't slide down?
I'd be wearing these with sneakers (Converses, Keds, etc.). Normal low ankle socks (while short) simply aren't short enough, and it looks rather tacky. Socks that don't show inevitably slide down to the arch of my foot in a measly 4 or 5 steps.
I'd prefer them to be cotton or a predominantly-cotton blend, though honestly, I might settle for anything that doesn't show at this point.
Thanks!
(FWIW: I can't be the only one with this problem right? I ran multiple searches for this but couldn't find any relevant threads. Apologies in advance if I've somehow missed something)

Not sure if this helps, but I've found that my Hanes low-rider socks only slide down if they're not oriented properly when I put them on. Note that these Hanes aren't 'no show', though.

Seconding the Asics brand socks. They're super comfortable.

I got some beige no-show socks from Target that are truly no-show, but do cover the heels. They are cotton. They had poly ones that were anti-microbial, too. I think they were Merona brand, but I can't find them online. I kind of have the opposite problem of them slipping in that the elastic can be a bit tight, but they stay put well.

I love Balega socks. I think the "Hidden comfort" ones (under X-Athlete), don't show. I own the Ventilators for running, and they don't show for me. They are athletic socks, so I don't think they are 100% cotton, but they stay on my feet. And they prevent feet stink.

I get black no-show athletic socks from Target. Like these, although I haven't tried this particular brand. Haven't had any problems with slippage since I started buying my socks there.

I have some Adidas ones I picked up cheap at DSW and I'm very happy with them. No slippage.

Maybe it isn't the socks themselves but the shoes?
I have shoes that will suck any sock I wear down below my ankles and halfway down my foot =(
I've seen these clear plastic Dr. Scholl's (?) gel ankle stickers that are smooth that are supposed to be stickered to where the heel contacts the shoe. I imagine lowering the friction might keep your ankle socks on your ankles...
A less good option: there's a product called "It Sticks" - its a roll-on sticky stuff that's meant to keep clothing where it's supposed to be. Like, shirt bottoms in pants. Might also work for the tops of ankle socks on ankles. Won't work when it's hot since it'll just get sticky but not hold anything anywhere.

Maybe it isn't the socks themselves but the shoes?I've thought about this as well, but unless the shoes are so tight that they keep the socks in place, it seems to happen with all my shoes. I'm starting to think that it might have to do with the way I walk. (I'm pretty hard on my heels, when I walk...to the point that I'm currently suffering from heel pain, but that's neither here nor there).

I have these Feetures socks in Low Cut, and they also have No Show. I just checked, and the Low Cut do show in my Converse (Chucks are cut really low around the ankle). I can't vouch for the staying up power of the No Show because I don't own any, but the Low Cuts are awesome and do NOT slip!
They are sold in most Roadrunner Sports stores.

Best answer: I got a pack of "no-show" socks at Costco -- they say "kb" in a square on the toe -- that I wear with some low-cut Converse every day with no slippage. They're not truly no-show with the One-Starts -- there is a half-inch (or less) of sock that shows most of the way around, though they don't show at the back -- but they're very comfortable and stay in place. Plus they were really cheap.

Response by poster: I'm trying the kb ones out right now, and so far they're working quite well. I'm definitely going to work my way through the list and try others though!
