Have you seen a beeswax shoe?

Wire armatures placed in a beehive and filled in by the bees to make creamy waxy simulacrae of various objects. The one I remember best is a high-heeled pump. Sound familiar?

Two or three or four years ago, I blithered onto a web page about a series of art pieces involving said armatures and bees. It wasn't the artist's site; it was a review/agglomeration site. I did not bookmark it.

I've searched the archives of every single artsy site I regularly visit. I've googled using all the search terms I can think of. No joy.

Now that I am myself a beekeeper, it's suddenly VITAL that I find this webpage.

Best answer: Is this it? Appropriately titled article, if so.

Response by poster: Yes, the hivemind rules all.

I not only got an answer within the half-hour, I was also introduced to another fascinating bee/shoe related site.

Really, is there nothing AskMe can't do?

I'm sorry, you have to wait until next week to ask that question...
