Renault Megane windows

How do I persuade Renault to fix their design fault on my Renault Megane.

Bought a used Renault Megane. It's out of warranty but the electric windows have started playing up.

A quick trawl online reveals it's a notorious design fault, probably because of water seeping in to the electrics.

Any suggestions on how to get Renault to correct this - or any tips on fixing it without breaking the bank?

Thanks for your help.

The Better Business Bureau has a program to help resolve disputes between customers and dealers/manufacturers. Worth a try.

It would help to know what country you're in. They don't sell Renaults in the US (for good reason) so I'm guessing that it's not America.

Response by poster: Sorry - should have said: I'm in the UK.

How old is the car? When did the warrant expire?

I suspect the answer is that you don't - not successfully anyway. This is the company who refused to accept that the Clio's bonnet-catch "issues" were a design fault or warranted a recall :\

Best of luck, though.
