Clearing logins and histories in IE6

Is there a way to delete login names, search terms, and URL histories in IE6?

I know that I can delete the cookies from the options menu, but even then if I come to some page like, say, Metafilter, and I go to the login screen and type in the box my old login name will pop up. The password doesn't, but the name does. And at pages like Wikipedia old search topics pop up. And the list of URLs I've typed in the address bar are all still there.

I'm on a work computer and will soon be leaving this job, but my replacement will use this computer. There's nothing embarrassing about my search histories or URLs or anything, but I am uncomfortable with my usernames still popping up.

Is there a file or something I can manually delete in order to get rid of all this stuff? Or is there something I've missed in one of the menus in the browser?

The function is called "Autocomplete", so try looking for that. Link. Also, when you are in a form field and it starts autocompleting your name, you should be able to just select it with the down arrow key and press Delete.

I think all that information is taken from history, so just clear history.

Then see if autocomplete works--I may be remembering a different browser.

That link from jabberjaw worked great. Thanks for that! Don't know know how I missed that when I was looking through the options.

Go to tools then internet options. Click on content tab then click the settings tab of autocomplete. Click the delete autocomplete history button and uncheck all the boxes that you dont want ie to remember.
