Anyone know of a Christmas story that can be performed by three female co-workers for an office Christmas party? Nothing too long or foolish, just a nice story that can be spoken (not acted out).

It could also be a poem. Other suggestions are welcome also. It has to be short, about 1 - 2 minutes max. Nothing embarassing.

The Night Before Christmas. Maybe 2 of them could do sound effects while the third talks. Or they can take turns reading.

You'd have to flesh out your own story, but since there's 3 of you, you could consider the premise that you are the 3 Wise Women, instead of 3 Wise Men, based on the following joke:

"Do you know what would have happened if it had been Three Wise Women instead of Three Wise Men?

They would have asked directions, arrived on time, helped deliver the baby, cleaned the stable, made a casserole and brought practical gifts."

David Sidaris' "Holidays on Ice" has a bunch of great stories you might be able to adapt. Not sure if "Dinah the Christmas Whore" qualifies as "nice," tho...

Why the Chimes Rang. Prolly more like 5-6 min, though.

The Gift of the Magi - O'Henry You can also do the Bert and Ernie version with paperclips and a rubber duck

Maybe adapt a scene from the great, subversively funny kids' book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

HA! I was just going to suggest a Bert and Ernie Gift of the Magi adaptation as well since it does have three parts: Bert, Ernie, and Mr. Hooper.

Track 2, if you're interested.
