Business ISP/Windows networking consultant recommendations in NYC area?

IT Sourcing help needed for a friend:

We're a 175-person non-profit with offices in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Like everyone else, we're reviewing our costs, and looking for options for a business ISP that can provide managed networking services:

1. VPN, so that all our sites can be connected
2. Network management, so we can prioritize "real" traffic and throttle shareware apps, etc.

We have fairly limited IT support options, so we're looking for an ISP that can manage the network for us. We're also looking for someone who can assist us with our windows networking (setting up domain controllers, file services, print services, etc.)

While I don't know anyone local to New York City -- I will tell you that companies exist that will do everything you need (Network wise). We use SegNet technologies in NH to manage our network (175 people, 6 sites) and they do a wonderful job.

I would make a basic RFP with your requirements, and send it out to the people you find googling "managed network services nyc", and review the responses.

I have been very happy with Netlink Systems. We had them set up our small business server, VPN, printer and private files settings, and laptops. I should mention that we are a small Manhattan based firm and only have about 8 computers and 5 printers, but they have been great.
