Where can I buy an agave plant in New York City?

I'm looking to purchase an agave plant and, preferably, have it delivered to Queens. I'm not exactly sure where I should be looking. Plant nurseries? Florists? Underground agave syndicate? Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially specific recommendations. My searches are mostly turning up tequila bars.

Also, would an agave even be a good houseplant?

Here's a mail-order nursery that specializes in agaves. With shipping the plants will run $10-$30.

They grow well indoors with reasonable care. See also here.

I saw some agave plants today at a whole foods in Philly. Try calling the WF there and see if they have them as well. They were $10, on sale from $14.
