Can anyone suggest a good place to post a computer programmer/web developer job vacancy within the UK?

I agree with misteraitch. www.jobserve.com is the first place most people in IT look, when they're thinking of changing.

I found my current job through cwjobs.co.uk mainly because they offered search results in RSS which meant I could keep an eye on new relevant postings without getting spam or recruiters hassling me.

If you're recruiting directly (which I assume you are), NoAgenciesPlease is a good option. Be sure to specify "UK only" in the ad though, to at least minimise the number of offshore responses.

Reed is awfully well designed from a jobseeking point of view.
