What to get...

$75 dollars to spend at best buy, what to do?

I recently received a $75 gift card to best buy and am at a loss over what to get. Anything big is out of the price range (I'd be willing to kick in ~$25) and I've seen/watched most of the movie/tv stuff that I want to either via bittorrent or otherwise.

I have an iphone (and an ipod shuffle for working out) and a laptop - those are really the only gadgets I use. So what I'm looking for is an iphone accessory/small gadget/anything else cool I can get at bb. In the alternative, if you have some great obscure dvd I can get I'd be interested in that (i like pretty much everything from entourage, the office, dexter, the wire, planet earth, and the this american life tv show).

Thanks all

Best Buy is super overpriced for most stuff I've ever wanted to purchase. Flash drives, ipod speakers, video cards, hard drives.... they're all significantly marked up from their actual value.

I sold my $50 gift card on eBay and got nearly full value (around $45) even with shipping charges. Then, I went on Newegg and got what I wanted for much, much cheaper than I would've from Best Buy.

Best answer: I'm in the same situation, actually - only with a larger dollar amount. I'm wondering if Best Buy sells iTunes gift cards...?

They sell candy there (to go with movie purchases). So you could get a bunch of candy bars and popcorn and whatnot. Share some junk food with officemates and friends. At least with food you don't have to be stuck with some dinky gadget forevermore.

Or, I recommend the DVD for the tv show Chuck. I think the second season is about to be released. I think you might like it since you said you like The Office.

Buy all those little things that, when you need them, you can never find. The USB cable, the audio cable, the dohickey this, dohickey that.

I love my Seinheisser wireless headphones. Great for work. I have the SD-130, bb currently has 'em for $150, but sadly you can get it much cheaper. The SD-120's are closer to yer $75 range if you want to put in more money.

Wait for a sale item - please don't buy cables from them, they are ridiculously expensive there.

Blank optical media is usually a fairly good bet when its on sale, and often times there is always a brand on sale.

It's not cool but how about a drive for backing up your files? It's not fun but it might save you future headaches.

Response by poster: iTunes giftcard idea is perfect. I always want to buy the random $2 apps in the iTunes store and hold back from trying them out. That combined with a few movies from the store will round it out. Didn't know they sold iTunes cards. Thanks for the suggestion. Kinda strange though, buying a gift card with a gift card.

Sometimes places won't let you buy gift cards with gift cards. So be aware and be prepared to go look for something else if they don't let you get another gift card.

Sell it on Craigslist for $70 cash. You can probably get something that's of greater value to you that way.

if the itunes gc doesn't work out I'd suggest a really nice keyboard/mouse/pair of headphones.

Response by poster: Just ordered the iTunes gc with my bb gc. No problems, even free shipping. Thanks for the help all.

If you're into graphic design at all, you can get a Wacom tablet for less than $75.
