Make Windows XP sort by Modified Date automatically... every time?

Easy Windows XP question, yet hard to google:
Is there anyway to set the 'select file' dialog boxes used by virtually every program to sort by Modified Date instead of Name?
At work I constantly find myself having to manually change the order in the 'Select File' dialog boxes from being sorted by name to date modified.
My routine is:
Create File in Adobe
Save File
Open a new email to customer
Email File
Receive signed version back from customer
Save new File as "File-SIGNED"
Submit File-Signed
Every single time I interact with my Windows XP file system, it automatically sorts by name which slows me down. I have to switch it to sort by modified and then I just go to the end of the list and my file is sitting there, ready for me to edit it.
I do this almost 10 times a day.
Is there any way to make it sort by modified automatically?
