Birthday gift ideas for mom?

My mother is turning 60 in just a month and my family has assigned me with the task of creating a present for her from all of our family members.

I have had the idea of having all of us write our wishes and memories in a book along with photos of us and/or our times together, but a lot of our family members have moved thousands of miles away. I am curious as to whether there are sites out there that allow you to do that and then they print the book for you?

MagCloud does POD magazines... if there are lots of photos a magazine format might be better.

Also Scribus might be of interest - open source / free desktop publishing software. It does "color separation" which is needed for some printing processes.

Perhaps you could take the photos and make a collage? It can be easily done using software such as picasa.

Thanks for the helpful tips!

I think I may have found exactly what I was looking for at CelebratAHero.com , as it allows you to invite people to collaborate on a book together and then you can download and print it.

Any tips for tangible gifts now? :)
