My iPhone thinks it's a Road Runner.

My iPhone has started beeping before incoming calls. What's this?

I have a 16 GB iPhone, freshly upgraded to 3.0. (I'm in the US, on AT&T). My iPhone now beeps before incoming calls, even when it's on silent mode. If it makes any difference, the battery is pretty well-charged, so it's not a low battery thing. Not sure what's up there, or if there's a setting on the new system I don't know about, but I can't have it beeping in class when I'm the teacher and I have a silent cell phone policy!

Are you sure it's the iPhone beeping and not some other device that's nearby? My iPhone causes some pretty loud interference on anything with a speaker, and I have heard in some cases the interference happening just before an incoming call or text. Almost sounds like morse code: dit dt dit dt dit dt...

No, my iPhone ALSO does that to a speaker. This is clear, loud, beeping, and has happened several places (home, car, etc.)

I solved the mystery--for some reason my iPhone now sets off my wireless thermometer alarm when it rings... Just weird.
