How to automate a process on my website

I built a website. What I would like to know how to do is to automate the buying block process; ie: buyers would be able to pick the blocks they purchase and those blocks would then be come unavailable for sale. I've done some searching with no luck but I'm not really sure I know how to ask the correct question. If I could get some direction, or some specifics, of what area I should be looking I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

This post was deleted for the following reason: this is not a good question for AskMe, it seems more designed to promote your site than to really figure out how to solve this problem. -- jessamyn

Smells like a scam to me.

Yeah, it's basically a website where you pay $2 to post a comment and become part of INTERNET HISTORY!!!!
Hey, on Metafilter it costs $5 to join. These guys are cheaper!

In the normal course of things the self-link might be OK, but your website seems awfully misleading and, well, scammy- which I think should be your first concern.

How is buying a 15x15px section of an Obama picture "being a part of American Internet History"?
Where does the money go? Is this a fundraiser?
Why do there have to be prizes?
What does this have to do with Barack Obama in the first place?

If this is honest, you really need to be a lot more clear with people. If you're trying to get Mefites to help you with a scam... well, you know.

PS I wish there was a stipulation in the Metafilter signup process stating that the use of MeFi for scammy purposes will result in having to host a Mefi blanket-party meetup.

Phrase your question so it doesn't give away the scammy nature of your business and you should get better answers next time.

Next time around, ask questions about a website that's not so scammy and you should get better answers next time.
Also, you might want to participate in the site for a bit next time around, making real, thoughtful comments on AskMe, MeFi, and MetaTalk. If I see a user with 10 or so comments that look like they belong on Youtube, my bullshit alarm goes on to Red Alert.

Also, did you ever get that home networking thing worked out? That's one of the kinds of questions that we do really well with around here.

Is it against site rules to self-link in just the blue, or is the green as well? Flagged anyway.

Oh, and people pay two dollars to write a political opinion on the Internets? WTF?
