To teach traffic school -- how to?

How does one become a Traffic School teacher in California? I think it's a wonderful institution (which makes drivers here better) and I'd like to be a part of it.

I'm an ESL teacher now but one of my inspirations to change to a teaching career was an instructor at traffic school (I've been four times now; four somewhat different experiences). What requirements are there (if any)? These operations are all private, right? So no credential's required?

You need to pass a background check and be licensed by the California DMV.
Note that many counties in California now permit online traffic school, so the market for in-person traffic school may be in decline.
