Luggage Storage in Hildesheim

Ms Zarkonnen and I are going to M'era Luna in Hildesheim. But prior to that, we're going on holiday in Switzerland. We don't want to take our laptops etc to a festival. Is there a place we can certainly store our luggage in Hildesheim?

I would check with the main train station in Hildesheim (the Hauptbahnhof). They may have lockers you can store stuff in. Their website is here. You can maybe call ahead (not sure if you speak German -- if not, just politely ask if anyone speaks English) and they may be able to confirm for you.

Sorry, please ignore the link I just provided and use this one. And, after more careful reading of the website, I see they do definitely offer a "Schließfächer / DB Gepäck Center", or a luggage locker/storage area.

Generally Lockers are only for up to 24h. I couldn't find any good information about the Hildesheim Gepäck Center, but others of its ilk seem to range from €2,05 to €5,00 per piece per day.

I guess going to a festival you won't be staying at a hotel. Otherwise you could ask your hotel to take care of your luggage. Most of them are pretty nice about such things if you have stayed there/will be staying there.

Only 24 hours? Really? Maybe it depends on the city (or maybe my memory is crap) but when I was traveling through Germany I seem to recall that in Frankfurt I left a backpack in a locker for a weekend. In any case OP, mmkhd is right, if you're staying in a hotel you should certainly be able to leave your stuff there. If not, I assume 24 hours would be enough time to leave your luggage at the train station.
